During your consultation, we will discuss your needs and smile goals to determine whether clear aligners is right for you
Compared to traditional braces, clear aligners has a number of unique benefits. First, the thin plastic aligners are completely transparent, and they are virtually invisible when worn. They also do not affect your speech.
In addition, you can remove clear aligners to eat and drink. This means there are no dietary restrictions. Since clear aligners is removable, it’s also easier to brush and floss, and keep your smile healthy throughout treatment. Clear aligners is also more comfortable and gentle than braces. You won’t have to worry about sharp metal poking or irritating your oral tissue, and your teeth will be moved gently and evenly into the proper position.
Clear aligners is one of the most convenient orthodontic options and you will only need to come into our office for a quick check-up every 6 weeks during treatment.
The differences between these two orthodontic treatments are minor. Each treatment uses slightly different methods for correcting your teeth and different plastic materials. Compared to Invisalign, clear aligners are a bit thinner and some patients say this makes them more comfortable.
Clear aligners is typically more affordable than Invisalign, though this is not always the case. Pricing for both Invisalign and ClearCorrect is patient-specific, so you’ll need to come in for a free consultation to get a quote for your unique case. Call our office today to schedule your visit!
First, make sure that you don’t eat or drink (except water) while wearing your aligners. Eating with your aligners will damage them and delay your treatment. Drinking any beverage except water can stain them.
Keep your clear aligner case close at hand, and make sure you put your aligners in the case for safekeeping whenever you take them out. It’s also important to wear your aligners for the recommended 20-22+ hours per day to get the most out of your treatment.
If possible, rinse your aligners briefly whenever you take them out to prevent plaque and bacteria buildup. At night, brush your clear aligners gently with a soft-bristled toothbrush and a non-scented antibacterial soap that rinses away cleanly. This will eliminate bacteria buildup, which will help prevent cavities and gum disease, and ensure that your aligners don’t stain or begin to smell bad.
